What in the world is: Advanced Brake Assist?
The 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk I drove not too long ago had all sorts of great technology and safety features. One of them was called “Advanced Brake Assist”. Like you, I was scratching my head to figure out what that might be. I out that it helps keep you safe by bringing the vehicle to an emergency stop more efficiently. It’s one of those safety features that is activated by other features such as the Forward Collision Warning w/Crash Mitigation and Rear Crosspath Detection to work with some of their other features like the Ready Alert Braking. I got the following from Chrysler’s product information regarding the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk:
Advanced Brake Assist
- Applies maximum braking power in emergency situations
- With 2014 enhancements determine the speed of the other vehicles for greater brake pressure accuracy
- Provides the shortest possible stopping distance in emergency braking situations
Pretty much, this is one of the underlying pieces of technology currently available in the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM lineup to help make them some of the safest and most reliable vehicles on the road!
Thanks for reading!
