4 Things You Need To Know About the New Jeep Cherokee
I’m actually a little sad to be wrapping up this series of blogs about the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee. We drove the Trailhawk a while back so we could check it out and let you know what’s up with it. It’s my favorite vehicle I’ve ever driven so I’m a little sad to be moving on to the next vehicle (although it’s the new 2014 Chevy Silverado that I’ve been hearing all sorts of great things about). Before we close though, I decided that -since I myself made the mistake of prejudging this fantastic vehicle by the way it looks- I would leave you all with a parting gift by sharing what I believe to be the 4 most important things you need to know about the new Jeep Cherokee.
Without further delay:
1) Things are not what they appear
Ask anyone who hasn’t driven the new Jeep Cherokee and the first thing they’ll tell you is that the front end “looks weird”. That’s true, it’s not your traditional Jeep, though it does still have your circular headlamps and seven-slot grille that’s expected on Jeeps nowadays, it’s more aerodynamic and sleek, much less “boxy” as I’ve heard other Jeeps called (especially the Wrangler) over the years. In fact, I remember the first Jeep Cherokee we got in I took to visit a friend of mine at the library just to see what she thought and the front-end completely turned her off to the vehicle. I kind of like it even more now though. If you can look past the front end long enough to sit in the driver’s seat and test out this exceptional vehicle it’s pretty interesting how that thing you thought used to look so hideous starts to seem quite endearing! This things can handle themselves on and off the road. They’re spectacularly pleasant to drive. Don’t let the front-end make the decision for you, give them a chance to prove itself and you’ll be thankful you did! Even in our digital age, don’t judge this book by it’s cover!
2) It’s winning all sorts of awards and getting noticed
For any “hipsters” out there, you window is closing for getting this vehicle “before it was cool”. It was in the top three for the 2014 Truck/Sport Utility Vehicle of the Year, it’s been named a 2013 IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) Top Safety Pick and was named the prestigious “Compact SUV of Texas” by the Texas Auto Writers Association. It’s even been featured in the Wall Street Journal. Word is spreading, in part because a few of us pioneers have given it a shot and have shouted to the world through the Internet about it! How could you not? As far as I’m aware there’s nothing on the same level as this fun, affordable AND fully capable vehicle!
3) The Trailhawk is a BEAST Off-Road
The vehicle we took out to get our videos in I absolutely fell in-love with. On the one hand I’m a little sorry I can no longer give you a completely objective and unbiased opinion, but on the other I’ve very pleased to have gotten to get behind the wheel of this thing and get a feel for it. The one we drove was as loaded as you can get it and STILL under the $40,000 mark. It’s a comfortable, smooth ride on the road yet still a glutton for off-roading! No matter where life takes you, you’ll be confident you can handle the drive in the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It’s even light on gas with exceptional fuel economy, especially for how well it performs. It’s a no-compromise, all-around incredible driving experience. I’m not going to go into too much depth here as I’ve already written several articles and filmed several videos about it.
4) They’re going FAST
As a representative for two separate Chrysler Dealerships in Western North Carolina I’ve got a little bit of inside intelligence on sales figures on a local, regional, territorial and even national level. While I can’t directly quote any numbers that aren’t public information, I CAN tell you that they’re selling quickly and much better than expected. At our two dealerships these things are selling like hotcakes! Definitely our most popular model at the moment! I can tell you that after the Dart’s recent release and the new release of the Jeep Cherokee I’m more excited than ever to be a part of Chrysler’s dealerships! These are high quality vehicle at great, competitive prices that are fun and comfortable and even luxurious to drive.
But hey, don’t take the word of some guy who’s employed by several automotive dealerships. For all you know I could just be masquerading as an “Automotive Digital Informant” (though as far as I know I’m the only one). So, fact check me. Check these things out for yourself. We’ve got several to choose from and you can schedule a test drive through our World Class Internet Department that fits YOUR schedule, not ours!
Thanks for reading!
